Bala Watersports caters for first time beginners to the most experienced person on the water. They offer various activities such as Canoeing and sailing right through to the adrenline filled white water rafting - there is something for everyone.
Set in beautiful surroundings, Bala Watersports is based on the shore of Bala Lake, the largest natural lake in Wales, stretching 4.5 miles, and 3/4 miles across at its furthest point. Surrounded by stunning mountains, Bala Lake is a haven for all water sports, with perfect sailing conditions to some of the best and most challenging white water rivers.
Bala Watersports offers several different options to give you so many choices of how and where you want to canoe. From on the lake itself, to the surrounding rivers - a heated swimming pool is even on offer for learners and skilled kayakers to get the perfect experience from their day. They offer a variation of unsinkable canoes to the extremes of white waters - a trip not to miss.
With a large expanse of water and predictable winds, Bala Lake is perfect for sailing. The courses provided offer anything from basic sailing to seamanship skills - everything is on offer for a novice or experienced seaman! Bala Watersports offer either half day taster sessions or courses running the full length of the day to really hone your sailing skills.
Personal coaching combined with the latest equipment means windsurfing is a popular choice with Bala Watersports. Inside a day, you can be up and sailing with the courses on offer at the shelving shored Bala Lake. 1, 3 and 5 day courses are available, you will learn all the skills of windsurfing. Completion of the one day course is necessary before going onto the more advanced courses - but it is a fantastic opportunity to try something different or brush up on those skills.
A trip of a lifetime. Whilst you stay, don't miss out on the chance to go down one of Britain's best white water rivers in a two hour experience, where you will tackle the white waters of the river four times. What a feeling it is, working together to guide your raft down the rocky waters to the bottom. The river is dam controlled, ensuring that you have the best and roughest rapids possible.
